Post-Production Services
Once your audio has been recorded, post-production work begins. In short, post-production is where we clean up the audio, edit the content, mix it, and produce the final product. Through our online audio workflow interface, our clients can preview and approve each stage of the post-production process.
Editing: The editing process is where we perform general clean-up on the actual content of the audio (not the sound quality). We remove bloopers and any other nonessential elements, as well as any irregular gaps or elongated pauses in the recording, to make it sound seamless to the listener.
Mixing: The mixing phase is where the product begins to come to life. We provide signal equalization, track-level compression, volume/pan adjustments to spread/even out the mix, and add "sparkle" to bring the audio to life. Additionally, we integrate whatever voiceover copy, intro, bumpers, sound effects, music beds, commercials, public service announcements, sponsor promotionals, etc. that you require.
Mastering: During this final phase, we correct any high-level problems with the audio, such as volume level, tonal balance, or undesirable artifacts. For example, we might apply noise reduction to eliminate any unwanted hum and hiss, limit the tracks to set the highest peaks in audio volume to a preset level. We might also apply a compressor to normalize the peaks, making the softer parts sound relatively louder, and to keep the louder parts in check. The end result is a smooth-sounding, CD-quality stereo track. Your final audio files are made available via our portal so that you can access them at any time!
